Asking Questions with Ask Borealis AI

As data is built up in Borealis, you and your team will find yourselves often reviewing previous interactions with your stakeholders for information and context which can become time consuming depending on how extensive their communication history is.

Ask Borealis AI helps you by allowing you to type natural language questions and instantly generate answers based on your data.

Ask AI can answer a wide range of questions, from specific details about a stakeholder to summaries of interactions. In addition to your own custom questions, Borealis also offers predefined “custom prompts” that you can select as shortcuts.

Ask Borealis AI is available for individuals, organisations, and from any communications list, for example the general communications list page or the communications page of an Engagement plan.

Generate a Stakeholder Summary for an Individual or Organisation

Suggested prompts

When using Ask Borealis AI, you will see a set of predefined suggested prompts that can help you get started quickly. These suggested prompts are contextual, they change depending on where you are in Borealis:

  • From an Individual profile: you’ll see suggested prompts about that specific person (e.g., When was my last engagement with this individual?)

  • From an Organisation profile: the suggested prompts focus on the organisation as a whole (e.g., What are the main topics discussed with this organisation?)

  • From a Communications list: the suggested prompts help you explore patterns or insights across communications (e.g., Which stakeholders are most frequently mentioned in these communications?)

This way, the suggested prompts are always relevant to the context you are working in.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use clear and concise wording when asking a question.

  • From any communication list, use the filters in the column headers and/or quick filters to refine and narrow your results.

  • If the response is too broad, try rephrasing or making the question more specific.

  • Explore predefined suggested prompts as a starting point if you’re unsure what to ask.
