Create Zones and Sub-Zones

Create a Zone

1. Navigate to the Zones register in the Configuration menu.
   
2. Click the + Create button located at the the top left hand side of the Zones list page.
3. Specify a name in your desired language and, if your Borealis is multilingual, add translations in the other Value fields.
4. If this zone is meant to be a child zone, specify a parent zone in the Parent drop-down list or create a new parent zone. You can also specify a Parent zone after creating your zone.
   OR
   If this zone is meant to be a parent zone, leave the Parent drop-down list empty.
5. Click the Save button.

Link Child Zone to a Parent Zone

If the zone was not linked to the parent zone during the zone creation, there are several ways to link the two.

Link a Child Zone to a Parent From the Zones Register

1. Navigate to the Zones register in the Configuration menu.
2. Mouseover the child zone you want to assign a parent zone to.
3. Click the Set parent zone in-line option.
   
4. Specify the parent zone in the Parent drop-down list or create a new parent zone from that drop-down.
5. Click the Set button

Link a Child Zone to a Parent From the Action Menu

1. Navigate to the Zones register in the Configuration menu.
2. Select the zone you want to add a parent to.
3. Click the Actions menu.
4. Click the Set parent zone.
5. Specify the parent zone in the Parent drop-down list or create a new parent zone from that drop-down.
6. Click the Set button.

Link a Child Zone to a Parent From the General Information page

1. Navigate to the Zones register in the Configuration menu.
2. Select the zone you want to add a parent to.
3. Click the Edit button in the General information page.
   
4. Specify a parent zone in the Parent drop-down list or create a new parent zone.
5. Click the Save button.
