Leverage the Voice Function of Your Phone | Borealis Mobile App

The Borealis Mobile Application does not directly support voice commands but the voice function of your phone is a tool that allows you to dictate instructions and text to your phone. This tool can be used to access, navigate and enter data in the Borealis Mobile Application.

Open Menus and Fields With Your Voice

You can use your voice to navigate through the application, create and edit Individuals, Organisations, Tasks, and Communications.

Examples of voice commands you can use:

• Swipe up/Swipe down: This lets you scroll list pages and forms upwards or downwards.
• The actual field name: This lets you select a field to view more details or when in a form, to edit its content.
• The actual record name: This lets you select a record to view the record details.
• Menu: This lets you open the Navigation menu.
• The name of a Navigation menu item: This lets you open an an item from the menu (e.g., Individuals in the Navigation menu).
• Search: This lets you open the search menu.

Navigate the Application With Your Voice

1. Make sure your voice access is activated.
2. Open the Borealis Mobile App.
3. Say Menu to open the Navigation menu.
4. Say the name of the menu item you want to open (e.g., Individuals) to open the list page.
5. Say the name of the record you want to open to view the record.

Dictate Text to Fill fields

This is especially useful for entering the meeting notes in the Description field of a communication, but can be used on any field. 

1. Make sure your voice access is activated.
2. Open the Borealis Mobile App.
3. Create a new record or open the record you want to edit.
4. Select the field you want to input text in.
5. Dictate the text you want to input in the field.
6. Say or press the Save button to return to the form.
7. Fill in or edit other fields as needed.
8. Say or press the Save button to close the form.
