Information related to agreement negotiations and the agreement itself can be recorded in Borealis to help keep stakeholders informed of progress and status.
You can create agreement records in Borealis to track agreement details and manage any follow-up actions related to land agreements.
To Create a Land Agreement
- Navigate to Agreements in Land access.
- Click the + Create button in the Agreements list page.
- Fill in all mandatory fields in the Create an Agreement Window. You can also fill in any optional fields, as needed.

General information
- Identifier: Name of the agreement.
- Agreement type: Type of agreement (for example, Addendum, Easem, ROW). Drop-down list can be configured form Agreement type data dictionary.
- Status: Indicates the current status of the agreement (for example, Planned, In negotiation or Active).
- Project: Select the project to which the agreement belongs.

Relevant parties and areas
- Parcels covered: Multi selection drop-down list to identify parcels covered by this agreement. This field can be left blank if the agreement is not directly related to stakeholder parcels.

Stakeholder selection: Defines how stakeholders related to the agreement are selected.
- Select manually: Allows you to manually select stakeholders from the stakeholder register.
- Select all parcel stakeholders: Automatically selects stakeholders based on the parcels covered.
- Stakeholders: Lists the stakeholders who are subject to the agreement.
- Representatives: Select the representative(s) of the stakeholder(s) through whom communications and engagements related to the agreement will be conducted.

Assignment
- Responsible person: Select the staff member responsible for managing and overseeing the agreement.

Geometry
- Definition of the geometry: Indicates how the geometry associated with the agreement was created. For example, the geometry may be Imported, Calculated from Parcels, or Drawn/Entered Manually.

Expiry and renewal
- Expiry date: The date on which the agreement expires.
- Does this agreement have a renewal clause?: Indicates whether the agreement includes a renewal clause. If this filed is set to 'Yes', this agreement can be renewed using Confirm renewal option from Actions menu.
- Renewal process status: Status of the renewal process. i.e. In progress, Not started, Renewal submitted. This field is displayed only when Does This Agreement Have a Renewal Clause? is set to Yes.

Renewal process start date: The date on which the agreement renewal process begins. This field is displayed only when Does This Agreement Have a Renewal Clause? is set to Yes.
