Manage Payment Instalments for Your Land Agreement

You can manage the payments of your land agreement; whether it is confirming the payment was made, canceling it, modifying it, or reopening a previously cancelled instalment.

This helps you and your organization keep track of the payment instalment status in relation to a land agreement and make sure that payments are made on time.

Confirm Payment of a Payment Instalment

  1. Navigate to Agreements in Land access.
  2. Open the land agreement for which you want to confirm payment of an instalment.
  3. In the left hand record menu, select Instalments under Payments.

  4. Based on the payment plan of your agreement, the payment instalments will be displayed in this page.
  5. Mouseover a payment instalment to display options.
  6. Click the Pay options in the right side of the information window.
  7. Confirm the information in the Pay window.
    • Payment date: This is the date at which the payment will be made.
    • Amount: This is the amount of the payment.
    • CPI instalment value: If you have a CPI adjustment as part of your payment, you can select the CPI value that applies to this particular instalment based on its payment date. The amount of the payment will be automatically calculated to take the CPI adjustment into account.
    • Evidence document: You can upload a payment record document
  8. Click the Pay button.

Edit a Payment Instalment

  1. Navigate to Agreements in Land access.
  2. Open the land agreement for which you want to edit an instalment.
  3. In the left hand record menu, select Instalments under Payments.
  4. Based on the payment plan of your agreement, the payment instalments will be displayed in this page.
  5. Mouseover a payment instalment to display options.
  6. Click the Edit option in the right side of the information window.
  7. You can modify the Instalment payment information.
  8. Click the Save button.

Override a Payment Instalment Amount

  1. Navigate to Agreements in Land access.
  2. Open the land agreement for which you want to edit an instalment.
  3. In the left hand record menu, select Instalments under Payments.
  4. Based on the payment plan of your agreement, the payment instalments will be displayed in this page.
  5. Mouseover a payment instalment to display options.
  6. Click the Change amount option on the right side of the information window.
  7. You can modify the Instalment payment information.
    • Amount: You can modify the amount of the payment. If a CPI should have been applied, you can still override the amount but the CPI will no longer be used.
    • Local currency: This field is only visible when making payments using different currencies. In that case, you can select the currency to use for the payment.
  8. Click the Change amount button.

Cancel a Payment Instalment 

  1. Navigate to Agreements in Land access.
  2. Open the land agreement for which you want to cancel an instalment.
  3. In the left hand record menu, select Instalments under Payments.
  4. Based on the payment plan of your agreement, the payment instalments will be displayed in this page.
  5. Mouseover a payment instalment to display options.
  6. Click the ... menu option in the right side of the information window and select Cancel instalment.
  7. Add a comment
  8. Click the Change status button.

Reopen an Instalment

  1. Navigate to Agreements in Land access.
  2. Open the land agreement for which you want to reopen a payment instalment that was previously cancelled.
  3. In the left hand record menu, select Instalments under Payments.
  4. Based on the payment plan of your agreement, the payment instalments will be displayed in this page.
  5. Mouseover a payment instalment to display options.
  6. Click the Reopen option to change the status to To pay.
