Introduction to Community Contributions

Community Contributions are a type of voluntary contributions or offerings requested by a member of the community, an institution, or a subset of the community. They are usually aligned with the established strategic areas of investment of your company.

They are contributions aiming to address a specific situation in the short term, and with results that can be easily perceived by the community benefiting from them.

They do not aim to effect behavioral changes within the community but are meant to quickly and directly:

  • Build relationships with the local population
  • Build support and trust with the community
  • Improve relationships with key stakeholders.

Community contributions requests are usually made for money, goods, and/or services to be granted to the requester and then can be used for the requested purposes.

In cases where services or goods are donated, a monetary value will be attributed to the services, or the selling price of the goods will be used to quantify the value of the contribution.

Examples of projects for community contributions can include

  • Donations for activities
  • Fundraising for local causes or events
  • Social activities within the community.

The Community contributions register lets you manage the workflow and monitor the community contributions in accordance with the established governance process of your company. Along with the Online Contribution Request Interface, it offers a complete solution for managing this process.
