Before you log in to the Boréalis Application you will need:
- A laptop, computer, mobile phone or iPad with access to the Internet
- Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 11, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari
- The username and password assigned by your system administrator
- An internet address provided by your system administrator
Login and session
After entering the Internet address provided by your system administrator into a browser the login box will appear. Enter your assigned username and password, and then click login.
Tips: If you see a message such as ‘authentication failure’ make sure that you have correctly entered your username and password and click Login again. If still unsuccessful, contact your system administrator.
You can logout anytime by clicking on your name (in the upper right-hand corner of the screen) and selecting the logout option.
Tips: For security reasons, it is important that you logout as soon as you have finished using the Boréalis Application.
The period of time you are logged in to the Boréalis Application is called a session. For security reasons, the Boréalis Application will automatically end your session and logout if you have not used it for more than 2 hours. Before the session expires, a warning will appear, if you wish to continue working, and keep any unsaved changes, click ‘Extend’.
Tips: If your session expires you may avoid losing your unsaved changes by logging yourself back into the application. However, it is better to always save any changes you make as soon as possible.
