Introduction to the Sections of Local Business Development Module

Local Business Development components:

Governance
This component is useful in establishing the ground rules for the development programs. It assists the defining and management of the tender evaluation policies against which suppliers will be evaluated before being awarded a contract.

Additionally, it is designed to allow the definition and management of the performance evaluation criteria for the auditing reviews carried out for each business.

Business Capacity Management
Capacity Management is designed to allow the creation and management of an accurate list of businesses in the local supply chain as well as a list of their competencies. It provides a means to track supplier performance over time through periodic audits that are conducted on pre-defined criteria. In addition, it allows the ability to track every capacity building event designed for the businesses, including related costs, obtained competencies and feedback provided.

Tendering Process
The tendering process is about keeping track of the initiated recruitment campaigns to fairly communicate the various opportunities to local businesses. It can be used to register multiple opportunities offered by the company along with the list of businesses applying for a tender. Opportunities include full details on the offer, every tender evaluation based on the pre-defined criteria as well as attributed contracts and local benefits details. The tendering process component is designed to provide means for companies to easily extract all contracts attributed through the various opportunities.

Management reports and maps can be used to assist in demonstrating that the high level commitments are respected and can help in managing the governance of the local business development policies for future periods.
