Deactivate a Package within the Entitlement Matrix

It may happen that some compensation change along the way, and while the entitlement matrix needs to be adjusted, you don’t necessarily want to start all over. At the same time, once active, the matrix and the packages and items which it’s made of offer limited editing options. So in order to deactivate a package, you must be in “edit” mode on the matrix, select the package to deactivate and then click on “view”. Once the popup is loaded, you can use the corresponding workflow action to “deactivate” the package. It will thereafter no longer be usable for new records.
