- Module : Main organizational element of Boréalis. Examples of this are Stakeholder engagement, Compliance management and Land access.
- Component : Organizational element within a module. Stakeholders and Engagements are components of the Stakeholder engagement module.
- Section : Set of records. Example: Individuals, Organisations
- Record : Set of information that relate to an item. An individual, an organization, a communication and a grievance are examples of records.
