This release is packed with enhancements, featuring improvements to our Tasks module including the new Recurring Tasks and Tasks Checklists features, an innovative Borealis Chrome extension that seamlessly integrates Borealis into your web browsing experience, a customizable Columns Configuration providing you with a personalized view that empowers you to focus on the information that matters most, and an updated Indicator Widget that allows you to craft your own formulas using existing indicators, enabling you to derive specific insights tailored to your project requirements. Chrome Extension

We are excited to unveil the Borealis Chrome Extension, a groundbreaking addition to Borealis designed to seamlessly integrate into your web browsing experience.

The Borealis Chrome Extension introduces a feature that automates the creation of Individuals by extracting information directly from webpages. Say goodbye to tedious manual data entry! With a simple selection process, effortlessly pull in key details such as names, photos, organization and position, contact information, and even social media profiles. This slashes the time required to input stakeholders into Borealis and also elevates data accuracy by minimizing the potential for manual errors.

While the extension intelligently fetches data from webpages, users can manually adjust results or add additional information as needed before sending it to Borealis. This flexibility ensures that the stakeholder profiles are created efficiently and also that the right information is entered in the right fields.

Additionally, users can effortlessly link the new Individuals to existing organizations in Borealis or create new organizations directly within the extension. This comprehensive approach not only simplifies the input process but also ensures that your stakeholder database is robust, detailed, and interconnected.

Recurring Tasks

New Left Navigation Menu

Positioned on the left-hand side of the task creation and edit window, this feature provides a visually intuitive experience that allows for smoother task creation and editing by providing quick access to all relevant sections of the task record, and enhancing its overall usability.

Columns Configuration

In our continuous commitment to providing a seamless user experience, we are thrilled to unveil the new Columns Configuration feature for list pages. Designed with versatility in mind, this enhancement focuses on enhancing the relevance of the information displayed in the multiple list pages. By allowing users to personalize the information and order of the columns in their grid views, we empower them to streamline processes, gain deeper insights, and make more informed decisions. 

  • Adding Columns lets you seamlessly integrate additional fields into your grid, ensuring you have all the information you need at your fingertips.

  • Removing Columns allows for a refined focus, permitting the exclusion of unnecessary data from the grid while maintaining the integrity of your records. In other words, removing a column from a grid does not deactivate the field in the specific record.

  • Reordering Columns empowers you to customize the visual layout, optimizing your grid for a personalized and intuitive experience.

The columns configuration feature will be available directly from the grid view or through the Columns configuration option located in the tools (...) menu of the grid page.

Improved Indicator Widget

Unlock the true potential of your data with our updated Indicator Widget and its new Equation field. Gone are the days of rigid analytics. Now, users have the freedom to create complex calculations tailored to their unique requirements. For example, you can calculate percentages to reveal the dynamic nature of your communications, or a completion ratio for seamless tracking of issues, commitments, and grievances.

With support for operators such as +, -, *, /, and exponentials (⋀), and the ability to group elements using parentheses, crafting sophisticated formulas has never been more intuitive.

You can also choose the display format that suits your preferences. Whether it's presenting data as an amount, percentage, or a standard number, the flexibility is now at your fingertips. Additionally, specify the number of decimals for rounding, ensuring that your reports and visualizations align with your desired level of precision.


Other Improvements

Stakeholder engagement

  • Individuals - Search by phone number

    • You can now enter a phone number in the Global search and the Individual with the matching number will be found.
  • Communications - Planned Communications

    • It is now possible to update multiple communications from Planned to Recorded in batch.

Grievances Management

  • Subject categories

    • It is now possible to choose a Subject Category when creating a grievance. This had to be done in the Assessment step before.


  • Document filter

    • There is a new quick filter that allows finding tasks that have documents attached.

Land Management

  • Agreements - Bank Account

    • It is now possible to link bank accounts to the organization's record, and use this information for agreement related payments.
  • Agreements - Link to Communications

    • It is now possible to choose and link an agreement when creating a communication.
  • Agreements - Linked Agreements

    • From an agreement, you can now directly see all other agreements that cover the same land parcels.
  • Engagement Plans - Parcels excel import

    • A new Excel import template allows users to link parcels to existing Land Management Engagement Plans.
  • Parcels - Batch Update

    • It is now possible to batch update parcels.

Compliance Management

  • Observations - Responsible person

    • It is now possible to assign an observation to a responsible person
  • Compliance Documents - Outlook Add-in

    • It is now possible to link an email to Compliance documents in the Outlook Add-in

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Parameters - Group / Category

    • It is now possible to categorize and group parameters using the new Group/Category field

Mobile App

  • Summary field

    • The Summary field is now available in the Communications section of the Mobile Application.
