You can customize the information displayed in the Quick view pane to highlight key data, improve the data analysis experience, streamline data access by reducing the clutter down to key sections and select filters your users can use to display relevant information for quick access.
Quick view panes provide a high level of flexibility and display options. As such, each type of record has its own configuration and must be customized individually. For example, customizing the Individuals quick view pane will not customize the Organisations quick view pane.
Several options are available for you to customize your Quick View pane and this article covers the following:
- Adding a section to the quick view pane for your users
- Removing a section from the quick view pane for your users
- Changing the name of a section
- Adding filters for your users' quick view pane
Add a New Section to the Quick View Pane for Everyone
- Navigate to the list page of a record type for which you want to add a section in the quick view pane, for example Individuals.
- Open a record of that type.
- Click on the pane arrow on the upper right hand corner of the screen to open the Quick view pane.
- Click the Quick view configuration icon in the upper right corner of the Quick view pane.
- In the Quick view configuration form, click the + Add section.
- Use the Data to display drop down list to select the section you want to add to your quick view pane.
- Add another section or click the X icon in the upper right corner of the form to close it.
Remove a section from the Quick view pane for Everyone
- Navigate to the list page of a record type for which you want to remove a section in the quick view pane, for example Individuals.
- Open a record of that type.
- Click on the pane arrow on the upper right hand corner of the screen to open the Quick view pane.
- Click the Quick view configuration icon in the upper right corner of the Quick view pane.
- In the Quick view configuration form, click the in line Delete icon for the section you want to remove.
- Remove another section or click the X icon in the upper right corner of the form to close it.
Change the Name of a Section in the Quick View Pane
- Navigate to the list page of a record type for which you want to change the name of a section in the quick view pane.
- Open a record of that type.
- Click on the pane arrow on the upper right hand corner of the screen to open the Quick view pane.
- Click the Quick view configuration icon in the upper right corner of the Quick view pane.
- In the Quick view configuration form, mouseover the section name which you want to rename.
- Click the in line Edit icon for the section you want to rename.
- Specify a new name.
- Modify another title or click the X icon in the upper right corner of the form to close it.
Add Filters to Sort the Quick View Pane Data of Your Users
- Navigate to the list page of a record type for which you want to select the filters used to sort data in the quick view pane of everyone, for example Individuals.
- Open a record of that type.
- Click on the pane arrow on the upper right hand corner of the screen to open the Quick view pane.
- Click the Quick view configuration icon in the upper right corner of the Quick view pane.
- Expand the section for which you want to select filters.
- Select the filters you want to be used by default to sort through the content of your users' Quick view pane.
Several filters can be selected, based on the Quick filters available for this type of records.
- Modify the filters for another section or click the X icon in the upper right corner of the form to close it.
