To keep data up-to-date, it is possible to deactivate land titles either permanently, or temporarily and reactivate them at a later date when they are needed.
Deactivating a land title record means that:
- This record will be greyed out in the list page.
- You will no longer be able to edit the deactivated record.
- The record will no longer appear in drop-down lists where it normally would.
This also means that you will be unable to link other records to this record. -
All titleholders for this land title will be deactivated as well. This means that related parcels will no longer have Active owners in the system. Deactivating a land title is typically done when a new land title replaces it.
Deactivating and Activating a record will leave a trace in the Action history of the left hand menu.
