Add, Remove, or View Parcels in a Land Title

During the creation of a land title, whether manually or by importing it using the Excel template, you must add a parcel to complete the creation process. After the land title has been created, you can view the associated parcels, add additional parcels covered by the land title, update the main parcel by assigning a new one, or remove parcels that are no longer associated with the land title. This helps ensure that the land title accurately reflects the parcels it covers.

Important: Adding (linking) or removing (unlinking) parcels from a land title should generally only be done to correct a data entry error. In most cases, the definition of a land title should remain unchanged over time. If the parcels associated with a land title change, it is usually recommended to create a new land title rather than modify the existing one. This helps preserve an accurate historical record of land ownership and parcel associations.

View Parcel Details in a Land Title

1. Navigate to Land titles in Land access.
2. Open the land title that contains the parcel you want to view.
3. In the left-hand menu, select Parcels.
4. On the Parcels information page, hover over the parcel whose details you want to view.
5. Click the View button on the right-hand side of the page.
   

Add or Link Parcels to a Land title

1. Navigate to Land titles in Land access.
2. Open the land title to which you want to add a parcel.
3. In the left-hand menu, click the + Add in-line option for Parcels OR select Parcels and click the + Add button in the Parcels information page.
4. Select either Create a new record OR select Link an existing record.
   
    
5. In the Select drop-down list, select the parcel you want to link to this land title and click the Link button
   OR Create a new parcel using the + Create button.
   

Unlink a Parcel from a Land Title

1. Navigate to Land titles in Land access.
2. Open the land title from which you want to remove a parcel.
3. In the left-hand menu, select Parcels.
4. In the Parcels information page, hover over the parcel you want to unlink.
5. Click the Unlink button on the right-hand side of the page.
