An individual can have 2 different status either Active or Inactive.
- The Active status is the default status assigned after a new individual record is created. The Active status indicates that the individual is currently of interest and relevant to company activities.
- The Inactive status is the status assigned when the Deactivate option is selected from the Actions menu. The Inactive status indicates that the individual is no longer of interest or relevant to company activities. When an individual record is deactivated, the system also sets the status of each of their position to inactive. When an individual is assigned the inactive status, changes can no longer be made to that stakeholder's record. The history of the individual is kept but it is not possible to link it to new records (as a participant to a communication or as a stakeholder in an engagement plan for example).
Deactivate a Stakeholder
- Navigate to Individuals in Stakeholder Engagement.
- Open the record of the stakeholder which you want to deactivate.
- From the Actions menu, scroll down and select Deactivate.
- In the Deactivate window, you can enter a comment to explain the deactivation.
- Click the Deactivate button.
This action will deactivate the record of the individual. It will no longer be possible to make changes to the deactivated stakeholder record or to link this record to other records in the system.
Reactivate an Inactive Stakeholder
- Navigate to Individuals in Stakeholder Engagement.
- Open the record of the stakeholder which you want to reactivate.
- From the Actions menu, select Reactivate.
- In the Reactivate window, you can enter a comment to explain the reactivation.
- Click the Reactivate button.
Reactivating an individual record automatically reactivates any position that do not have an End date in the past. You may need to review them to make sure they are up-to-date.
