The objectives are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely (SMART) targets that a strategic community investment must meet, in order to be successful

The activities are the processes of doing that will ensure the objective is achieved 

The milestones are points throughout the implementation of a strategic community investment that is used to evaluate performance and measure if the objectives have been a success.
