Import Contacts From Your Phone to Borealis (Android only)

Difficulty: easy

There are 2 main options to import 1 or several contacts from your android phone into Borealis.

Contacts will be sent as VCards (vcf format).

Import Contacts to Borealis from your phone

  1. Open your Contacts list on your Android device.
  2. Locate the first contact you want to export.
  3. Press and hold on it to enter the multi select mode.
    The first contact will be selected. Flag any other contacts you want to import to Borealis by pressing on their name.
  4. Press on the Share icon at the bottom of your screen.
  5. Press on the vCard file (VCF) option.
  6. Select your email app from the list.

  7. Enter the general Borealis email address in the To field.
    Identify the address to send emails to from the Borealis application.
  8. Click the Send button to send the email.
  9. You should receive an automated status email from the system shortly after to confirm your contacts were created in Borealis successfully.

    You can use the View process log button under the email processed status to open this email log.

Import contacts to Borealis using the Borealis Mobile Application

  1. Open your Contacts list on your Android device.
  2. Locate the first contact you want to import.
  3. Press and hold on it to enter the multi select mode.
    The contact will be selected.
  4. Press on the Share icon at the bottom of your screen.
  5. Press on the vCard file (VCF) option.
  6. Select your Borealis app from the list.

    The Create individual form will then be displayed with fields populated from your Android contact.
  7. Review the information displayed and specify a Project in the Projects drop-down list.
  8. Click the Create button.
