Sync a Distribution List from Borealis to Mailchimp

Overview

Push stakeholders from Borealis distribution lists to a selected Mailchimp audience for campaign use. This sync adds new contacts but does not modify or remove existing Mailchimp contacts.

Prerequisites

• Mailchimp integration must be configured
• Stakeholders must have a valid name and email address
• Access to distribution lists

Steps

1. Open a Distribution List
   • Navigate to Distribution lists in Stakeholder engagement.
   • Select the list you want to sync.
2. Initiate Sync
   • Click the Action menu and select Synchronize with Mailchimp.
   • Select the Mailchimp integration and audience to update.
3. View Sync History
   • Borealis will validate stakeholder emails and highlight any errors.
   • Confirm to proceed with syncing new stakeholders.
   • A record of the sync is saved within the distribution list.

Best Practices

• Clean your distribution list before syncing: validate names and emails.
• Re-sync periodically to add newly added stakeholders to Mailchimp.

Notes

• Only new stakeholders are added, no updates or deletions will be performed in your Mailchimp audience.
• Updating an email in Borealis does not update it in Mailchimp, a new contact is created instead.
