Mailchimp Integration
Managing newsletters and mass communications just got easier.
The new Mailchimp Integration connects Borealis with your existing workflows, so you can seamlessly sync stakeholder lists, import campaigns, and keep your engagement history complete. No more manual exports, duplicate records, or scattered data—just one smooth flow between Borealis and Mailchimp.
What’s New
Two-Way Sync Between Borealis and Mailchimp
- Import Mailchimp campaigns into Borealis as communications, with recipients automatically linked to stakeholders where possible.
- Push Borealis stakeholder distribution lists straight into Mailchimp audiences, complete with automatic tagging to keep track of synced data.
Smarter Stakeholder Creation: When campaign recipients don’t match existing stakeholders, you can review them in Borealis and create new records—strengthening your data completeness without extra spreadsheets or tools.
Automatic Tagging and Sync History: Every time you send a list from Borealis to Mailchimp, the integration creates clear tags (“Borealis” + the distribution list reference) and records the sync history in Borealis for full traceability.
Centralized Engagement History: Digital outreach doesn’t stay siloed in Mailchimp anymore. Imported campaigns appear alongside meetings, calls, and other communications in Borealis—so you get the complete picture of stakeholder engagement in one place.
Benefits
- Save Time, Reduce Errors: No more manual imports, duplicate work, or custom integrations—just seamless syncing.
- Keep Borealis as Your Source of Truth: Borealis remains the central hub for stakeholder data, ensuring consistency across systems.
- Improve Data Completeness: Easily create new stakeholders from Mailchimp campaign recipients to fill in gaps.
- Enhance Visibility Across Teams: Community managers, analysts, and executives can now see both field and email-based outreach together, supporting smarter decisions and better reporting.
Land Management - Create agreements in batch
Managing agreements one by one can be time-consuming, especially for land access projects involving multiple parcels and stakeholders. This functionality allows users to generate multiple agreements at once, saving time and ensuring consistency across all agreements created.
What's New
A new action, “Create agreements in batch”, is now available in engagement plans of type land management.
This feature allows users to generate multiple agreements at once, each with a unique identifier, while sharing the same agreement type and project access rights. The system also displays the number of agreements to be created before confirmation.
Users can group parcels by owner or ownership group to reduce duplication, while parcels without identified owners or those belonging to multiple owners remain in separate agreements.
Agreements inherit parcel geometry by default and include required and optional fields such as agreement details, assignment, geometry definition, and additional information.
This feature is complemented by analytics widgets that track batch-created agreements and highlight potential data issues.
Benefits
- Efficiency: Create multiple agreements in a single action rather than processing each individually.
- Consistency: Shared agreement type, project rights, and standardized fields reduce errors and improve data quality.
- Flexibility: Ability to group parcels by ownership provides cleaner agreement structures and reduces duplication.
Visibility: Analytics widgets support better tracking and help spot potential data issues early.
Land Management - Select parcels directly from the map
Managing parcels in engagement plans can be time-consuming, especially for small and well-defined projects. This new feature makes the process faster and more intuitive by allowing users to select parcels directly from a map instead of manually searching.
What’s New
A new action, “Select on map”, is now available for engagement plans of type land management. This option can be accessed directly from the creation or edit form of an engagement plan, or through the side menu when adding parcels, making it simple to launch the selection process from different points in the workflow.
With this feature, users can work directly with the Borealis standard map to view all available layers and filter parcels by type, just as they would in the standard map view.
Parcels that are already linked to the engagement plan are automatically excluded from the selection to prevent duplication.
Once the user confirms the selection, the system brings them back to the engagement plan creation or edit form with the chosen parcels already linked, streamlining the process from start to finish.
Benefits
- Time savings: Quickly link parcels without manual searches.
- Ease of use: Intuitive map-based interface for selection.
- Accuracy: Prevents duplication by excluding already-linked parcels.
Efficiency for small projects: Designed to streamline parcel management in simpler engagement plans.
Land Management - Agreements and Conditions - Geometry Improvements
We have enhanced the management of agreements and conditions in Borealis by introducing more flexible and accurate ways to represent their geometry. This improvement provides greater control and clarity over how agreements and conditions are visualized on the map.
What’s New
A new Geometry section is now available for both agreements and conditions.
For Agreements, geometry can now be defined in three ways:
- Imported (via a new shapefile importer)
- Calculated automatically from related parcels
- Drawn manually on the map
For Conditions, geometry can also be defined with three options:
- Inherited from the related agreement
- Imported (via a new shapefile importer)
- Drawn manually on the map
Drawing on the map is now fully supported, allowing users to define specific points to create precise polygons.
Benefits
- Flexibility: More flexibility in how agreements and conditions are represented.
- Accuracy: Improved accuracy by supporting calculated, imported, or manually defined geometries.
- Clarity: Enhanced visualization on maps for better decision-making and tracking.
- Efficiency: Simplified workflows with the ability to inherit or customize geometry per condition.
