This article explains how to use the Permits section in Land Management to create, view, edit, and delete permit records.

Create a Permit
- Navigate to Permits in Land access.

Click on the '+ Create' button.
- On the Create a Permit form, enter all required information.

General information
- Identifier - Name of the Permit
- Status - Specifies the current state of the permit record. ('Planned', 'Submitted' or 'Active')
- Issuing authority - The agency or authority that issued the permit.
- Application number - The unique identifier assigned to the permit application.
- Permit number - The unique identification number assigned to an approved or issued permit.
- Permit type - Specify category of the permit associated with the project or parcel.
- Projects - Select the projects associated with the permit.
- Engagement plans - Select the engagement plans associated with the permit.
- Issues - Select any issues associated with the permit.
- Start date - The date the permit takes effect.
- End date - The date the permit expires.

- Land units - Select the land units to which the permit applies.
- Stakeholders - Select stakeholders associated with permit.
- Representatives - Select the stakeholder representatives associated with the permit.

- Assignment
- Responsible person - Select the person responsible for managing the permit.
- Expiry and renewal process
- Requested date - The date on which the permit application was submitted to the issuing authority.
- Approved date - The date on which the permit was approved by the issuing authority.
- Perpetual - Select 'Yes' if permit continues indefinitely (Expiry date filed will be hidden).
- Expiry date - Expiry date for the permit.
- Does this permit have a renewal clause? - Flag indicating if the permit has a renewal clause.
- Renewal process status - Status of the renewal process ('Not Started', 'In progress' or 'Renewal submitted').
- Renewal process start date - The date on which the permit renewal process begins.
- Renewal notes: Enter any notes related to the renewal of an permit.
- Effective date - The date on which the permit becomes legally valid and takes effect after renewal.
- Term - The duration for which the permit remains valid.
Expiry and renewal process
- Geometry
- Definition of the geometry - Indicates how the geometry associated with the agreement was created. For example, the geometry may be Imported, Calculated from company assets / land units, or Drawn/Entered Manually.
- Other information
- Permit description - Additional details or notes about the permit.
- Signature date - The date on which the permit was signed by the relevant parties.
- Signed permit - Upload or attach the signed permit document.
Other information
- Click on the Save and view button.
Note: You can duplicate a permit record to quickly reuse permit information.
View Permit Details
- Navigate to Permits in Land access.
- In the Permits list, hover over the permit for which you want to view details.

Click the View button on the right-hand side of the page.
You will be then redirected to general information page for this permit.
Edit a Permit
- Navigate to Permits in Land access.
- Open the permit you want to edit.
- Click the Edit (pencil) icon in the upper-right corner of the general information page.
Edit
- Update the required permit information.
Update information
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Delete a Permit
- Navigate to Permits in Land access.
- In the Permits list, hover over the permit you want to delete.
- Click the Actions (...) button on the right-hand side of the page.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
