Accessing Microsoft 365 Email Integration Settings (Superusers)
As a superuser, you can manage and configure the Microsoft 365 Email Integration for your instance. This includes setting default synchronization rules, managing Allow and Block Lists, and reviewing user connections.
How to Access
- Navigate to Integrations in Configuration.
Select the line Microsoft.
From here, you will see the instance-wide configuration options: Monitor user connection and manage a general allow list and block list.
Monitoring User Connections
This presents the list of users that have set up their connection to Microsoft for email integration. This is useful to
Monitor which users are connected or disconnected.
Remove connections for certain users if needed.
Allow / Block List
From here you can set up domains or email addresses that will be part of the allow list and block list for all users. This allows ensuring compliance by blocking sensitive domains across the organization.
Allow List: It is a list of domains that determines which external contacts can trigger the creation of new stakeholders during email synchronization. Only emails from senders included in this list will result in stakeholder creation in Borealis. Other email addresses that are not linked to a stakeholder will not create new stakeholders.
Block List: It is a list of email addresses or domains that are completely excluded from synchronization. If a sender or any recipient is on the Block List, their emails will not be synced at all, even if other recipients in the same email are allowed.
Users can also manage their own personal allow list and block list in their user profile.
