Resources for users who always want to go further
We all learn in different ways. Whether you prefer reading an article, watching a video, or taking a more hands-on approach, we have resources that can help you work faster and do even more in the system. Read on to find out how you can take your Borealis know-how to the next level!
Over the years, we’ve created a lot of content to help users work more efficiently, improve their techniques, and answer all kinds of questions. We offer these resources in a number of different formats, so no matter what type of learner you are, you can find the support you need. You might already be familiar with some of these, but not others. For example, did you know we have a YouTube channel?
Borealis Academy
Our YouTube channel has a lot of great videos, but as a user, you might be particularly interested in the Borealis Academy. This series offers helpful tips (for example, when and how to use Activities vs. Tasks) as well as information about different modules, features, and our quarterly product releases.
To see the list of videos that are available, check out the Borealis Academy playlist. Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a beat and – of course – give us a “thumbs up” when you find a video useful, so we can keep bringing you the kind of content you need.
Blog
The blog on our website is an excellent source of information about trends and best practices in stakeholder engagement and different areas of CSR. Some of our recently published articles include:
- How to Communicate with Stakeholders Effectively, and track and extract meaning from it all
- Stakeholder Mapping: When, Why, and How to Map Stakeholders
- The importance of change management when adopting new software
Webinars
If you feel you’ve been away from Borealis for too long and need to brush up on your skills – or if you’re new to the system and don’t know exactly where begin – please sign up for one of our training webinars!
We offer refresher courses that cover the basics of using Borealis (like navigation, creating records for individuals and organizations, and using the Outlook add-in). If you’ve already mastered the basics and want to go a step further, you might want to check out our Introduction to Analytics. Sessions are offered in English and French, and in different time slots to meet the needs of our global audience.
Help Center – Ongoing education
Of course, by now you’re probably familiar with the Help Center, but did you know we have a special section to help you understand how to use Borealis for a specific objective? The Ongoing Education section addresses topics like:
What’s New in the Help Center
- Synchronize an event from your Gmail account and send it to Borealis
- Create an event from Gmail and send it to Borealis
- How to install the Borealis add-on to your Gmail account
