Communications are an essential tool to log and track data within the Borealis application. Sometimes, a communication will start off as a simple email or phone call and will then turn out to be something beyond a simple communication and require to be logged in as a grievance.
Borealis offers you the flexibility to directly create a grievance from a communication and automatically fill in information in the grievance based on the information found in the communication record.
The original communication will still exist in the system and will be linked to the grievance record under Related Engagements unless you flag Delete the communication record after the grievance is created during the grievance creation process.
Create a Grievance from a Communication
- Navigate to Communications in the Stakeholder Engagement module.
- Locate and open the communication you want to create a grievance from.
- Click the Actions menu.
- Click the Create as grievance option.
- Review and fill in information in the Create as grievance window.
The communication will be linked to the grievance. You can have the system delete the communication by checking the Delete the communication record after the grievance is created box. - Click the Save button.
You will then be redirected to the newly created grievance in Grievances in the Stakeholder Engagement module.
