Import Company Assets Using the Excel Template

While you can manually create company assets 1 by 1 through the company assets register, you can also create them in batch using the Excel template.

Before importing company assets, you should have already imported your geometries so as to link the geographical data directly to the company assets during their import.

Refer to the Import data via Excel template article for the steps to take and general information regarding importing data into Borealis using the Excel templates.

When importing company assets, make sure to take the following into account:

  • Use the Company assets template to input company asset information for your batch update.
    • Select Company assets from the Type of data to import drop-down list.

  • After having previously imported the geometry file for the company assets you are importing, specify the Geometry ID in the Geometry cells.
This this will link the previously imported geometry to the company asset when you upload your Excel file to Borealis.
  • You can create as many records as needed using the Excel sheet, but we recommend splitting the imports if the number of records exceeds 1000.
