Send a communication to Borealis (Outlook on the web)

The Borealis add-in for Outlook facilitates the categorization of emails sent to the platform. Since the add-in is linked to your Microsoft account, it is available on the different Outlook platforms. This article is about Outlook on the web but Articles are also available for sending communications using Outlook on the desktop and Outlook on the mobile

Send a New Email or Forward an Email to Borealis

  1. Open Outlook on the web from your Office 365 account.
  2. From your Inbox, click the New Mail button and prepare the email.
    You can also select an email in your Inbox and use the Forward button.
  3. Click on the Borealis add-in icon on the ribbon.

  4. Enter your login credentials for Borealis if you are not already logged in.
  5. Select and fill in the correct information to categorize your communication properly.
  6. Click the Send button to send your email normally.
  7. You should receive an automated status email from the system shortly after.

Review the email log

After sending the email to Borealis, you should have received an automated email from the system. Reviewing this email will let you validate whether your email was processed successfully by the system and whether warnings or errors occurred during the conversion process.

You can use the View process log button under the email processed status to open this email log directly in the Borealis application.

Send an Email from your Inbox to Borealis

  1. Open Outlook on the web from your Office 365 account.
  2. From your Inbox, open the email you want to send to Borealis.
  3. Click the Apps icon on the email quick action bar and select the Borealis add-in.

  4. Enter your login credentials for Borealis if you are not already logged in.
  5. Select and fill in the correct information to categorize your communication properly.
  6. Click the Send to Borealis button.
  7. You should receive a confirmation notification in the Borealis add-in.
